Bronze for the TUBAF handball players

On May 24, 2025, a Saxon university championship in the discipline of handball took place again for the first time in a long time. Together with our local handball club, HSG Freiberg, the TUBAF University Sports Center brought the championship back to Freiberg. A total of 7 teams competed for the title of “Saxon University Champion” in the Ernst-Grube-Sporthalle.

The first match was kicked off at 10 a.m. on the dot and it quickly became clear that the tournament day would offer many exciting and attractive handball matches.
In the end, TU Chemnitz prevailed against Leipzig University and the TUBAF handball players defeated TU Dresden in the small final.
However, we would like to congratulate all the participating teams, some of whom had to travel long distances. GREAT THAT YOU PARTICIPATE - see you next year!!!
