Half-marathon podiums for TUBAF

Successful Showing at the Saxon Public Authorities Championship in Eibenstock

On September 19, 2026, the annual Saxon Public Authorities Championship took place in Eibenstock, featuring races over the marathon, half marathon, and 8-kilometer distances. Representing TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Ivonne Uhlig and Felix Heisel lined up for the half marathon. Tackling the demanding terrain of the Ore Mountains over the 21-kilometer course, both athletes delivered strong performances and returned home with solid race times and several podium finishes.

Podium Finish in the Overall Women’s Standings for Ivonne Uhlig

Pacing her race with great precision, Ivonne Uhlig demonstrated impressive endurance and consistency throughout the entire distance. She crossed the finish line in 2:16:36, securing an outstanding third place in the overall women’s division. In addition, this performance earned her second place in the Women 40–44 age group and ninth place overall across the entire field of participants.

Age Group Podium for Felix Heisel

Felix Heisel also showed great determination and stamina on the challenging profile. Reaching the finish line in 2:37:40, he secured a well-deserved third place in the Men 30–34 age category. In the overall men’s ranking, he placed 21st and concluded the competition in 27th place overall.
