Dynamo Tresen wins New Year's football tournament

On 15 January, the annual New Year's tournament for university footballers took place at the university sports centre. It kicked off at 5:30 p.m. A total of seven teams were registered. The tournament was played in a league system, with each team playing against every other team.


The four teams that finished first and second in their leagues then advanced to the semi-finals. A match for fifth place was also played.


In the first semi-final match, "Dynamo Tresen" beat the "Freiboys" 3-0. In the second, very close semi-final, "Schahin FC" beat "Foreigner FC" 5-4. In the match for third place, the "Freiboys" defeated "Foreigner FC" 3-0. Dynamo Tresen won the 2026 New Year's Tournament with a well-deserved 2-1 victory over Schahin FC (the same final match-up as last year).
